Aims and Scope

Today, the influence of politics and media on public perceptions and collective attitudes has become fundamentally important. Indeed, control over media can contribute to the formation of hegemony and the exercise of influence over public opinion. In this context, the Andisheh va Ghalam Research Group for Political and Media Studies and Analysis commenced its activities in 2022 (1401) with the authorization of the Council for the Expansion of Higher Education. Focusing on innovative research in politics, media, social networks, mental image formation, and mechanisms of influence over public opinion, the research group seeks to promote a rational and analytical understanding of political, social, cultural, and economic developments and structures in Iran.

As part of the group’s continuing academic activities, the Journal of Contemporary Iranian Political and Media Studies was granted a publication license by the Press Supervisory Board of Iran on September 29, 2025 (1404/07/07), under Registration No. 98173. The journal can be regarded as a specialized scholarly publication primarily addressing the academic community, with a particular focus on the intersection of politics and media. It seeks to provide policymakers, academics, and researchers interested in contemporary Iran with analytical insights into the rapid and complex transformations taking place within Iranian society.

The Journal of Contemporary Iranian Political and Media Studies welcomes original, innovative, and scholarly articles and research contributions from distinguished professors, graduate students, and researchers addressing political and media developments in Iran and the contemporary world.
